Cortnie is a community educator, speaker, social host who’s innovative events and workshops ignite positive collaboration within the education and social well-being communities.
She is constantly dreaming of new ways we can creatively inspire & empower each other through the tools of communication, integration of resources and high vibrating intentions–all while having fun! Cortnie has 15 years combined experience as a classroom teacher and school administrator who specializes in embedding social-emotional learning into traditional academia. She has applied her talents to building a trauma informed Virtual Summer Program for students DCs most vulnerable areas. These days you'll find her leading and training cohorts of teachers and community mentors in mindfulness and academia, authoring brain-based learning workbooks for teens, and brain-calming workbooks for parents and many heart-work projects in between.
Cortnie Angel currently lives in the Washington DC Metro area. She is a mother of a phenomenal toddler, Corinne who keeps her on the up & up and up-to-date on who’s really raising who.

Talaya believes that through yoga we have the opportunity to open our hearts and recognize that the essence of our being is love. By creating a container of healing, she empowers and encourages yoga practitioners to grow and step out of their comfort zone on and off the mat.
Her goal is to help others feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves. Talaya is passionate about creating inclusive yoga experiences that speak to the whole person.
