Part one of this series provides an oral and written introduction to Nāda Yoga and the svara dhvani (vowel sounds) and svara vaṛna (vowel signs) of the Devanāgarī (Sanskrit alphabet). Learn pronunciation of the dhvani and feel their sonic resonance as a meditation of sacred sound.
Part two presents the Sanskrit vyañjana (consonants) both dhvani and varṇa (sounds and symbols). Learn pronunciation of the vyañjana and feel their sonic resonance as a meditation of sacred sound. Recognize and write the Devanāgarī script.
In part three of this course, you will be introduced to the art of combining svara and vyañjana (vowels and consonants) to formulate words. You will gain the tools to read Sanskrit words like देवनागरी.
Part four will focus on terms for foundational yoga concepts and names of common yoga asana, pranayama, chakra and mudra practices. You will also learn bīja mantra to deepen and expand your personal experience and your teaching.
Throughout the entire series, you will learn sacred chants, along with their transliteration and word-by-word translations to enrich your personal study and practice of Nāda Yoga.
