Sometimes, it just takes one. One act of hope for one person, one time, can make ONE LOVE a reality.
"Seva" means Service. "Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity." –Pema Chodron

In Yoga Philosophy, the word SEVA is used to mean: selfless service, work that is given universally, service that is performed for the benefit of others without attachment to the outcome.
Seva is the cornerstone of Inner Power Yoga. From 2008-2012, Yoga World Reach, 501c3 offered Inner Power Yoga® Education Programs with a mission "to EDUCATE, MOTIVATE and EMPOWER Yoga Teachers as together we broaden the possibilities of Yoga as Service* in our local and global communities. Yoga World Reach was a Colorado Non-profit 501c3, organized exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes. More specifically, the entity was formed to perform the following:
to research and practice ways that yoga, meditation, and alternative therapies can inclusively serve the local and global communities.
to educate and empower Yoga Teachers to inclusively serve the local and global communities
to co-create yoga programs for correctional facilities, crisis prevention centers, women's shelters, schools, health care facilities and practitioners, rehabilitation centers, homeless shelters, and those with special needs.
Individual empowerment means that people recognizes their personal worth. They realize their true nature as an expression of creative power and universal love. They have the opportunity to celebrate their inner power which inspires a realization of basic goodness. Yoga World Reach promoted global peace through individual empowerment by offering the transformation practice of yoga to people from all walks of life.
Under the guidance of Registered Yoga Therapist, Rachel Redding (R.R. Shakit, PhD), our team collaborated with 17 charitable organizations to present yoga to survivors of invasive trauma, friends with disabilities, those struggling with substance abuse and addiction, and children in need throughout the U.S., including Pine Ridge Reservation and Dutch Harbor Alaska. We traveled to Central America, West Africa, India, and Southeast Asia to offer practices of hope and healing.
Today, Inner Power Yoga® is listening for opportunities to grow, learn, and serve. We seek to provide a platform to deepen connection and broaden our vision of the collective whole.
Inner Power Yoga® is a dynamic practice combining holistic body wisdom, Tantrik teachings, and Yoga Psychology to empower each individual.
